UtilStation Health Check Bot
If you see requests from this User-Agent in your server logs, a Pulse user has added your site for uptime monitoring.
User-Agent string
UtilStation-HealthCheck/1.0 (+https://utilstation.com/pulse/user-agent)What it does
It sends a single HTTP GET request to verify your site is reachable and returns a non-5xx status code. No content is read beyond the response headers.
How often
Checks run on a schedule chosen by the site owner — every 1, 5, 10, or 30 minutes. Each check is one request from one server.
Where it comes from
Requests originate from UtilStation's infrastructure. The IP may change over time as the service scales. The User-Agent header always identifies the bot.
How to block it
If you didn't add your site to Pulse and want to stop the checks, you can block requests with User-Agent containing "UtilStation-HealthCheck" in your server or CDN rules.
Pulse is the free uptime monitoring feature of UtilStation. Users can add their own sites and public URLs to track availability. Visit utilstation.com/pulse to learn more.
